A Volkswagen T25 / T3 camper project. Because some things are worth doing slowly and getting right.

A Volkswagen VW T25 / T3 Camper project.
The van
Willi is a VW T3 — the square-edged, air-cooled-era Transporter that has no interest in being subtle. Built between 1979 and 1992, the T3 is the last of the truly analogue Volkswagen vans: mechanical, honest, repairable by hand. No drive-by-wire. No screens. Just metal, rubber, and intention.
This one needed work. That was the point.

The project
Restoring a T3 is the opposite of a sprint. It moves at its own pace — parts take time to find, rust takes time to address, decisions about what to keep and what to change deserve more than an afternoon. Willi has taught patience in a way that software never could.
The goal isn't concours condition. It's a van that works, looks right, and earns its place on the road. Honest wear where it belongs. Clean where it matters.

Why this belongs here
Design is problem-solving with constraints. A T3 restoration is nothing but constraints — availability, budget, originality, functionality — and every decision is a tradeoff. That's the same muscle used in a design sprint or a product brief, just with greasier hands.
Willi is a reminder that making things well takes time, that good bones are worth preserving, and that some projects you do simply because they deserve to exist.
