Mima i kor — Album Cover
Album cover design project - Arild Wetaas: Mima i kor My first album cover design. An album released locally in Stavanger, Norway, May 2015.

Every record deserves a cover that means something.
The project
Arild Wetaas — musician, composer, and part of the family — released *Mima i kor*, a collection of choral music. The brief was to design an album cover that felt rooted in the material: warm, traditional, but not dusty.

The design
The cover uses a photographic base combined with type that references the mood of the music — unhurried, community-centered, grounded. The palette was pulled from the photography session: warm midtones, low contrast, nothing that competes with the title.

On designing for someone you know
Working for family is different. There's no brief document, no scope of work. There's a conversation, a few reference images, and trust. You either deliver something the person recognizes as theirs — or you explain yourself over Sunday dinner.
This one landed well.
